About Us

We have been running photography workshops during curriculum time and as after-school clubs for over five years.

They continue to be ever popular with children and staff alike; especially since there’s little (if any) lesson preparation for teachers to do.

Essentially, all of our photography workshops are designed to encourage budding photographers to develop their skills via this fun and creative introduction to digital photography.

When combined with the mainframe curriculum, photography provides an engaging practical perspective to the children’s learning.

All of our workshop leaders are enhanced DBS certified. To assure you that Education in Focus doesn’t have access to any photographs taken by the children, our strict safe-guarding policy prevents us from supplying camera devices to schools.

Therefore, our curriculum-time courses are designed for the children to use the school’s iPads/tablet devices or cameras.

During the after-school clubs, whilst the members sometimes have access to the school’s devices/cameras, more often than not they provide their own (clearly named) equipment.

This may include iPods, iPads/tablets or compact, bridge or DSLR cameras. On the mornings of the club, all equipment is handed in to a member of staff for safe keeping until the club commences.
