Mathematics in Focus

 

Our ‘Mathematics in Focus’ workshops are designed to link photography, ICT and literacy with observational mathematics; including quantities, shapes and problem solving.

 

Upon consultation with teaching staff, we agree a series of assignments for the students to complete; whilst using photography to capture a visual representation of the task in hand. Subsequently, the students produce posters to display their work within their ICT lessons.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pre-GCSE photography

 

Following feedback received from creative arts teachers, we have come to recognise that Year 10 students don’t necessarily have camera operating skills when commencing the photography module of their GCSE course-work.

 

This series of workshops has been designed specifically for Year 9 students who have selected photography as one of their creative arts modules.
